Ednna Villamizar is a Venezuelan architect whose practice is founded on the belief that "Architecture is a social act" – A discipline that shapes not only spaces, but also relationships, identity, and collective memory.
Born in Valencia, Venezuela, in 1974, she graduated from Universidad Simón Bolívar – Caracas – Venezuela in 1999.
- 2000, Her early academic work explored the relationship between architecture and the city through a large-scale urban intervention in the historic center of Valencia, developed under the mentorship of architect David Gouverneur. During this period, she collaborated with architects, experiences that shaped her understanding of architecture as a tool for urban transformation and social impact. Her professional path continued through participation in the Urban Master Plan for the Historic Center of Valencia, where she contributed to the documentation and preservation strategies that supported the city's future development. Later, as part of the Technical Board of the Urban Development Institute of Valencia (INDUVAL), she participated in urban projects focused on planning, growth, and the integration of economic and social strategies for the city.
-2008, through PROYECTOS DAITEZ, C.A., she developed residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout Venezuela. Her practice consistently pursued an architecture rooted in context, but also with industrial projects for construction on site.
-2012, as Head of the Technical Board of the Municipality of Puerto Cabello, she led a series of public projects aimed at improving urban life through architecture. Among them, the Social and Sports Center La Bombonerita became a defining work, transforming a neglected urban site into a civic space where sport, culture, education, and community life converge. The project received a Special Mention at the X Malaussena Architecture Exhibition (2016) in the category of Public and Social Architecture.
-2018, Through Ednnaz,LLC, she expanded her practice in Florida. During this period, she gained professional experience through collaborations with architecture firms in Fort Mayers and Miami, including Chisholm Architects P.A. and Garcia Mathies Interior Deign Lab, among others.
-Since 2022, Ednnaz, LLC has expanded its practice by offering integrated design and engineering services through a trusted multidisciplinary team of professionals. Under Ednna's direction, the firm has provided comprehensive solutions for renovation projects, expansions, additions and Brand-New Residences developments across Miami and Broward County, combining technical expertise with a design-driven approach.
-2025, Present
Among her most significant current projects is Green Garden Village, a mixed-use urban development in Osceola County, Orlando Florida, conceived as an interconnected community integrating clean energy industry as energetic hubs in the same area with residential, commercial, and public spaces.
In collaboration with HDF Design, Ramos-Martinez Architects, and a multidisciplinary team of engineering professionals, Ednna has coordinated the architectural vision, design integration, and development process of this ambitious project, conceived as a connected community.
